Our website features a contact form that can be used to get in touch electronically. If you use this option, the personal data entered into the input mask will be transmitted to and stored by us. The processing of your personal data serves solely to process your request.
At the time of sending the message, the following data will also be transmitted and recorded:

4. Newsletter

4.1 Description and Scope of Data Processing
Your data is used exclusively to send you the newsletter you have subscribed to by email and, to the extent you have consented, to evaluate how you use the newsletter and, where applicable, the related content. The indication of your name is to enable us to address you personally in the newsletter and, if necessary, to identify you if you wish to exercise your rights as a data subject.
In order to verify that a registration is actually carried out by the owner of an email address, we use the “double opt-in” procedure (DOI) when registering online. This means that after you register for the newsletter, you will receive an email in which you must confirm your subscription by clicking on a link.

At the time of DOI confirmation, the following data will also be recorded:

  1. Place, date, and time of registration,
  2. IP address,
  3. Email address,
  4. Salutation, first name, last name,

In addition, we assess your reading and usage behavior in order to constantly improve our newsletter and adapt it to your interests and needs. For this purpose, we analyze whether you read or click on our newsletters and the content they contain, in order to make them even more attractive.

6. Comment Function

6.1 Description and Scope of Data Processing
Certain content on our website includes an optional comment function that allows you to provide feedback on an article. The comment is approved after a positive review and is publicly displayed next to the content where the comment was posted. There is no right to publication of a comment.

When you leave a comment on our website, your name is collected and displayed publicly. Additionally, your email address is collected. This allows us to inform you about the status of your comment. The email address is not displayed publicly, is not transferred to third parties, and is not manually evaluated. In addition to this information, the creation date and your IP address are also recorded. This is done for the security of the website operator in order to take action against the author in the event of legal violations (civil or criminal).

The comment function serves the exchange of experiences as well as the possibility to communicate, for example, questions or suggestions.

Analysis Tools Used

Google Analytics is provided to us by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Google processes data related to the use of the website on our behalf and is contractually obligated to take measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data processed.

During your visit to the site, the following data is recorded:

  • Achievement of “website goals” (e.g., contact requests and newsletter subscriptions)

Personal data such as name, address, or contact details are never transmitted to Google Analytics.

This data is transmitted to Google’s servers in the United States. We draw your attention to the fact that the level of data protection in the United States cannot be guaranteed in the same way as within the EU.

Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a period of two years from your last visit. These cookies contain a randomly generated user ID, which allows you to be recognized on subsequent visits to the site.

The recorded data is stored with the randomly generated user ID, which allows for the evaluation of pseudonymous user profiles. This user-related data is automatically deleted after 14 months. Other data remains stored in an aggregated form indefinitely.
